In you

Your works are awesome towards us lowly people

You loved us so much you gave us grace

We will never be worthy but you crown us
We are able to walk with our heads healf high
Because we know that you are our God
And we belong to you
In you we find who we are
In you we find our strength, our belonging
In you we are made worthy

There is something in amplification

Ok, so I recently started reading the Amplified Bible. I used to not like it because I felt like it was long. I know right. But I don’t know, I’ve started getting more into my Bible Study reading bits here and there and I’ve been going through Psalms. Now words have been jumping right out of the bible and into my heart. Don’t get me wrong, I was understanding the other versions and applying it into my life, but there is something special about getting goosebumps from reading one verse. I’ve been sucked into reading Psalms big time and I’m actually considering buying an AMP Bible.

Just to show you what I mean here is one verse, compared with 3 versions.

Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for and hope for and expect the Lord! (Psalm 31:24 AMP)

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. (Psalms 31:24 KJV)

So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord ! (Psalms 31:24 NLT)

So now tell me, which one screamed the most at you ??

God Bless 😊

I am the daughter of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies

I started reading the New Living Translation Bible recently and I am in love with it. Like I carry my Bible with me wherever I go because I want to be close to the word of God. Anyway, a phrase kept coming up, “Lord of Heaven’s Armies” so I looked for it in the NKJV and it translates it as “Lord of Hosts,” stay with me here, I’m going somewhere with this.

I grew up not knowing my Dad. This used to have a negative impact on my life until I discovered my identity and started speaking some of the promises which God has said upon my life such as 1 Peter 2:9 [9But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.] Today when I read about the Lord of Heaven’s armies I began to think about fathers and how they have high positions to the outside world and when they get home, they are the people helping their children with their homework, giving them advice and loving them. Look at a man like Barack Obama, he commands on of the greatest countries in the world, but when he goes home he is a father to his children, and is there for them.

For me, that’s the same relationship I have with God. He is may be the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and the Alpha and Omega, but in my life he is my dad, he is who i turn to when i need advise and when i just need to feel loved. I don’t feel like I don’t have an earthly father anymore because he has taken that place.

He is my father, and he is the Lord of Heaven’s armies.

I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. (Isaiah 46:4 NLT)

I love that God tells us that he will be our God throughout our lifetimes. This means that no matter which season we may find ourselves in, He will be there with us, guiding us and just being there with us next to us. I hope this encourages someone who might be finding it difficult to comprehend that God is with us.

Unending love

“Now my soul sings, your love it knows no end ” Hillsong, Love knows no end
How amazing is it to know that you serve a God who loves you without any reserve. His love knows no end, it’s relentless, it’s comforting. You know so many people out there can’t fathom that God is there and he loves each and every one of us. We don’t have to do anything to deserve his love. Just like grace he gives it to us unconditionally. The only thing we have to do is to accept his love and his grace and flourish in his love.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14 NIV)
How amazing is that, he knows everything there is to know about us. And trust me when I say that nothing we do shocks him. He won’t be disappointed in you, but that doesn’t mean that you have to take advantage. Let him love you. Let him take you to places you never knew you could reach 😊

Be thankful

I know all of us have seen days when we feel like we are low and we feel like we won’t be able to make it and we tend to moan and think,”I can’t be helped.” Did you know that in times of trouble those are the times when we should Praise God because we know that he is the giver of strength and hope and joy and peace and when we praise him, we focus on him, and he helps us in the other parts of our life. So I would like to encourage you tonight, to have a song in your heart, or a psalm and just praise him. Praise him because he has been good to you and he will continue to be good to you. My personal favourite is

“O God, You  are  my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see  Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness  is  better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will  lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise  You  with joyful lips.” Psalm 63:1-5

Be blessed
